Not In My BackYard (NIMBY)

The NIMBY effect can be very dangerous for those who are trying to be creative. We often think that everything interesting has to be in some exotic far off place. “There’s no way I could find something interesting in my own backyard.” Well, guess what! There is. I love going out and sitting on my back patio just looking around. I often find pictures right there. Other times, I find inspiration for new photos to be taken somewhere else. So go fight the NIMBY effect and step out your back door for some artistic fun.
Back to Basics

jocelyn
Art comes from the inner child. Don’t always worry about impressing others. Do what you do fore the reasons you started. Why did you love your art in the first place?
Never Give Up

Just Keep Swimming
Never give up on your art. Never give up on your dreams. Never, ever give up on yourself.
Project Toy Chest

ToyBox
I have a new project. It’s called Toy Chest. It now has it’s own album under the Projections folder.
I realized that I have a few pictures with toys in them. With a little brother around, I have plenty of chances to pretend I am a kid again. Sometimes the best way to spark new enthusiasm about your art is to start a project.
Baby’s Gotta Get It

And she’s gettin’ good.
I went uploaded 259 pictures to my computer today. I only kept 10 of them. I might have been a little too critical of the photos today.
